Difference b/w Intel 4th generation and 3rd generation processors

                                   Intel had recently announced new series of their processor, the 4th generation Intel i3, i5, i7 processors. The previous version of Intel i3, i5, i7 processors are build by 32nm micro-architecture. The new processors are build by 22nm micro-architecture, main differences in the generations is Intel processors is shrinking of sizes of die in nano scaling. These 22nm 4th generation processors are codename “Haswell”. On June 4th, 2013. Intel had officially announced new CPU's with 4th generation Haswell processors at Computex Taipei 2013.

The 3rd generation is called “Ivy Bridge,” and is basically a copy of Sandy Bridge manufactured on a smaller scale, or die.                                                  All wireless Internet routers might appear very much alike at first glance. In fact, many different wireless router models exist each with its own unique set of attributes. Use the checklist below to help decide which brand of wireless network router could work best for you.




Speed Ratings

Wireless routers typically advertise their speed in megabits per second (Mbps). Older Wi-Fi models offered 11 Mbps, mid-range 802.11g routers 54 Mbps and the latest 802.11n routers claim up to 450 Mbps. You may be tempted to only look at those routers with the highest Mbps rating. However, consider that the actual performance you will achieve in practice typically averages much, much lower than the maximum rating shown on the package. Furthermore, even high speed routers cannot directly speed up your Internet connection. The extra speed boost from a faster router may not be worth the extra cost.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs. Galaxy S4

Samsung's scorched earth mobile strategy has its share of critics. But if you're going to harp on Samsung for trying anything, everything, and all the spaces in between, you also have to acknowledge that the company has two major flagship smartphones that can each command the full attention of the tech world. How many smartphone makers can you say that about? Let's compare the latest versions of those two premier phones, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4.

Size

As big as the Galaxy S4, it's still pretty small compared to the Note 3
The Galaxy S4 is pretty big for a smartphone, but it still doesn't hold a candle to Samsung's hulking phablet, the Note 3. The Note is about ten percent taller, 13 percent wider, and five percent thicker.

Weight

The Note 3 is 29 percent heavier
No minor difference here either, as the Note 3 is a full 29 percent heavier than the GS4.

Build

Samsung threw us for a curve with the soft leather-like finish on the Note 3
This was our biggest surprise from the Note 3 event. Samsung ditched its much-derided glossy plastic, found on the GS4 and most other recent Galaxy devices, and replaced it with a faux leather backing. It's still made of plastic, but now it's soft and leather-bound notebook-themed.
We'll have to wait for more extended time with the Note to draw any real conclusions here, but, at the very least, we tip our hats to Samsung for trying something new in the build department.

Display

Ditto for screen size ... but at least you can know that you'll be getting a very sharp sc...
This is the biggest perk of carrying around a lumbering phablet like the Note 3. It gives you 29 percent more screen real estate than the (already big) display on the GS4. The latest phablet is pushing the boundaries between phone and tablet more than ever.
Resolution is identical. Though that has the smaller screen on the GS4 coming out a bit sharper, they're both likely well past the point where you'll be even remotely disappointed. Sharp text, crisp images, happy eyeballs.

Processor

Both phones ship in multiple versions: LTE/quad core, and 3G/octa core
No need to worry about performance on either of these phones. Both the LTE and 3G versions of each have some of the fastest mobile processors of 2013.

RAM

The Note 3 sports an impressive 3 GB of RAM
The 2 GB of RAM on the GS4 is a very solid amount, even over four months after the phone's launch. The 3 GB in the Note 3 is forging new ground.

Storage

After many people complained about the cramped useable storage in the 16 GB version of the...
The base model of the Note 3 doubles the base 16 GB in the Galaxy S4. Samsung's TouchWiz software, layered on top of Android on both phones, can really eat into that 16 GB, though, so that extra space could be a nice advantage for the Note.

Battery

The Note 3's battery holds more juice, but we'll have to wait to learn about actual uptime...

Cameras

Camera pixel counts aren't just close, they're identical
Megapixel counts are identical in both phones. The only true measure of phones' cameras, though, are sample shots. We'll have to wait a little while to put these two side-by-side.

Wireless

Yep, both phones will use speedy LTE data, as long as your local carrier provides it (and ...
Both phones sport LTE radios, though they also both ship in versions that max out on HSPA+. That split coincides with the different processors we showed you above.

Software

The Note 3 runs the newer version of Android ... for now
The Note 3 runs Android 4.3, but the GS4 is supposedly going to be updated to that latest edition of Jelly Bean in October.
Both phones run Samsung's TouchWiz software, which grows more and more bloated by the minute. Okay, maybe that's a bit harsh, but depending where you're coming from, you might find TouchWiz's feature list to mean more bang for your buck, or just overwhelming and unnecessary. On the GS4, we'd lean towards the latter. If the Note 3 is anything like the Note 2, though, we'd lean a bit towards the former.

Stylus

The Note 3 comes with its trademark S Pen stylus
... that's because the little plastic stylus known as the "S Pen" becomes something much more when TouchWiz's goodies are added to the mix. The pen not only gives you a finer level of precision, but TouchWiz has all sorts of note-related features up its sleeve. We're talking handwriting recognition, content scrapbooks, multiple apps on the screen at once, and anotated screenshots.
From where we stand now, the S Pen tricks (and TouchWiz tricks as a whole) are all a bit overwhelming. But you'll hear much more from Gizmag about the new Note's S Pen features in the coming weeks, after we put it through the paces.

Wrap-up

It's way too early to wholeheartedly recommend one of these mobile gizmos over the other. We've spent months with the GS4, but have only been briefly acquainted with the Note 3.
At this point, though, it looks like Samsung improved its phablet in all the right ways. Its screen is bigger and sharper, the device itself is a bit more compact, and its guts are full of the fastest mobile components you can buy in 2013. TouchWiz always walks that line between more of a good thing and gimmicky feature creep, so that verdict will have to wait. Ditto for battery life, camera quality, and how that soft backing feels over long stretches of time.

Wifi printer Plenty of printers have wi-fi, like the Canon Pixma MX870.
With a wireless printer it's easy to print from multiple computers, tablets and smartphones. You don't have to be in the same room, or in some cases the same building, as the printer to be able to print.
But before you can start printing you must first connect the printer to your home network - you'll need is a wireless router and a wi-fi printer.

Connect to a wireless network

Printers with colour screens display step-by-step instructions for setting up the wireless connection when you first turn on the printer. They're easy to follow, even if the screen is quite small and you're not overwhelmed with information - you can only progress one step at a time.
If you don’t set up the wireless connection during the start-up process you can set it up later. Look for the wireless set-up 'wizard' within ‘wireless settings’ or ‘networking’ in the printer’s menu.
There’s more that one way of connecting to a wireless network, and you may be offered a few different options for setting up the connection.

Wi-fi set up using WPS

If your printer and router are both compatible with Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) this should be an option in the printer’s network menu.
If so, when prompted, all you need to do is press the WPS button on your router and the corresponding button on the printer to wirelessly connect the printer to the network.

Wi-fi Auto connect

This feature is mostly available on Epson printers and is very easy to use. You can use it if computer is already set up on your wi-fi network.
Selecting Wi-fi Auto connect, the printer looks at the network your computer is on and then uses this information to connect itself to the wi-fi network. It may take a minute to connect, but it quick and done with a press of a button.

Connecting using a network key or PIN

If your printer doesn’t have WPS, you’ll probably have to enter a ‘network key’ – a series of numbers and letters – into the printer using the function buttons and screen on the printer in order to establish the connection between your printer and router.
Provided you haven't changed it, the network key will be in your router’s documentation, or on a label on the router.

Inkjet printers are the most common type of home printer. They tend to be smaller than laser printers, so they're more convenient for small home work surfaces.

Inkjets are cheaper

They're generally cheaper than laser printers. You can get an all-in-one inkjet colour printer (that can print, copy and scan) for as little as £25. All-in-one colour laser printers cost upwards of £100 and take up more desk space.
A4 inkjet printers that only print - sometimes referred to as 'single function printers' - are rare now.
You can still find a couple of models in high street stores, but with the low price of all-in-ones, even if you think you'll rarely use the copier function you won't be paying any more up front to have a copier in your printer.

What type of printer do I need?

An inkjet printer will suit you if you print a bit of everything.
You can buy inkjet printers that will only print, or all-in-one inkjet printers that can also copy, scan and fax.
Most people opt for inkjet printers because they're better all-rounders. They tend to be better at printing photos than laser printers, and they take up less desk space.
You can expect to pay anything from £25 to £250 for an inkjet printer depending on the features. You'll need to factor in ink costs outside of that.

Laser printer
Laser printers
If you print a lot, want fast print speed and don't need top-quality photo prints, a laser printer will suit you.
Laser printers tend to be quite bulky, although there are some smaller ones around. Most lasers print great-looking black text pages, and they're quick to print text.
If you only want black-and-white prints, a mono laser printer is the way to go, and they're cheaper to buy. You can also get colour and all-in-one laser printers, but they tend to cost upwards of £100.
Toner cartridges are expensive, but produce a lot more prints than inkjet cartridges.

If you want to be able to print, copy and scan, this is the printer for you.
You can get inkjet or laser all-in-one printers. Some will have wi-fi connectivity so you can print from a range of devices and some include a fax function too. Faxes may seem a little outdated to come now, but the some of the additional features that accompany a fax can still come in useful when scanning and copying.

Wireless printers

Families with more than one device to print from, or anyone who wants to print from a smartphone or tablet should consider a wireless printer.
There are inkjet and laser wireless printers, and inkjet wi-fi printer prices start at around £30.
You can leave a wireless printer in one room and print to it from anywhere in the house using your home wi-fi connection. Some wi-fi printer now have features that let you print remotely, email prints to the printer, or print using Apple's AirPrint for iPads and iPhones.

A3 printer
A3 printers
If you need big prints in larger than usual sizes, an A3 printer is the one for you.
A3 printers take up quite a bit of desk space. You can get all-in-one A3 printer that can also copy, scan and fax.
Other A3 printers tend to have a strong photo focus, and they're good for printing small posters.

If you want to print photos at home, you can buy printers which only specialise in this.
Although you can still buy compact photo printers that only print 6x4 photos, you're better off getting an A4-sized printer.
They're far more versatile and there are plenty of A4 printers that are aimed at people who want to print photos as well as emails and webpages and so on.
Each of the big printer brands have dedicated 'photo' ranges. Photo printers usually have memory cards and a USB connection on the front of the printer which is useful for more than just printing photos.

Would suit those printing lots of text and reports.
A home office printer could be a laser printer or an inkjet printer. Lasers tend to produce the quickest prints and the sharpest looking text.
A lot of home office users opt for a black-and-white laser printer because they mostly print text. Inkjet printers targeted at home office use tend to focus on faster text print speed and include a fax function as well as a scanner and copier.

Cheap printers
Short on features and low in price, a cheap printer may appeal if you don't want to spend much and don't print often, but you may be better off looking for a mid-priced printer in the long run.
A large part of the cost of a printer is the cost of the ink, and if you buy a £30 printer you can easily end up spending the same again on just one set of ink cartridges. Inkjet printers are generally the cheapest to buy, but that doesn't mean they're cheap to run.

Laser printer Laser toner can be pricey but you'll get lots of prints for your money.
Laser printers are good choices for a home office. They are quick to print but they tend to be quite bulky, so you'll need desk space.

Laser printers cost more

Although you can get a laser printer for as little as £60, toner cartridges tend to be expensive at around £40 or more for just one cartridge.
A toner cartridge will produce lots of prints so, so you'll get your money's worth.
Black-and-white laser printers start from around £40, and you can get relatively compact models from brands like Brother and Samsung.
A colour laser printer will cost considerably more as will multifunction laser printers that can also copy and scan. Expect to pay upwards of £80 for these models.

Laser printers are better for text

Laser printers generally aren't good when it comes to photo printing. If you'll want to print photos at home, an inkjet printer is the better way to go.
But if you print lots of Office documents, lasers offer sharper text quality and better print speeds, even for colour documents.

What makes a good laser printer?

  • Sharp text It's rare to find a laser printer that fails to print crisp text. 
  • Rapid print speed The average laser printer can turn out black text at around 10 pages per minute, compared to six or seven with an inkjet.
  • Fast colour prints Photos, or colour web pages with images take around two minutes to print at top quality on an inkjet printer. The average colour laser can turn these pages out in around 40 seconds. 

Additional features to look for

  • Auto-duplexing You won't find automatic double-sided printing on cheaper laser printers. Expect to pay upwards of £140 for a laser printer with auto-duplexing. This feature is worth having if you print a lot and want to save paper without having to flip the page manually. 
  • Multiple print trays Look for a laser printer with more than one paper tray so you can keep different types of paper in the printer at all times, such as plain or headed paper. The paper trays on most laser printers can hold at least 50 sheets of A4.
